Q: How do I post a listing?
- On the home page, click on the âPost an Adâ button to the right of the main navigation menu. This will take you to Step 1, where you select the relevant category to which your ad belongs.

⢠Complete the relevant fields on the ad form; Title:, â¨Price:, â¨City:, â¨Description:,
⢠Upload images: You can upload up to 8 images with a maximum size of 500KB. Click Continue to proceed. - Review your listing. Please review the rules and guidelines before you click Proceed; when you click Proceed you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions. After you review them click Proceed to continue.
- You will receive a success message and an indication of whether or not the ad is live or pending review.
Q: How do I edit my listing?
A: To edit your your listing:
- Login to your MyCollectableClassifieds.comâ Â account.
- Once you are at the Dashboard for your account look to the right of the title of your ad and find the “pencil icon“.
- Click on the “pencil icon” and you will see all the details of your ad and you can go ahead and edit your ad.
- When you are finished editing your ad be sure to scroll down to the bottom and click on “Update Ad“.
You will receive confirmation at the top of the listing that reads, âYour ad has been successfully updated. Return to my dashboardâ.
Q: Do I need to include my street address with my ad?
A:Â If you do not wish to reveal your street address, for safety reasons for instance, you may leave that field blank. But, please do include your City and State.
Q: How Do I delete a Listing?
A: When you are logged into your account, go to the top right of the page and you will see your login name and something that says My Dashboard. Click on that. Your dashboard is a listing of all your current postings of ads, so when you click on it it will bring up your listings. When you see the ad that you would like to edit, look to the right of it and you will see an âXâ that says Delete Ad. If you click on this âXâ a pop up box will appear that says âAre you sure you want to delete this ad?â
Click âOKâ.
You will see in your dashboard a message appear that says âAd has been deletedâ. Simple!
Q:Â How often can I post a listing?
A: You can post as frequently as you would like but multiple listings of the same article are not allowed in our Terms of Use and will be treated as spam and deleted.
Q: What can I do to help my listing attract a buyer?
A:Â Experts say you should always be trying different approaches and evaluating the results to find the listing that produces the best results. You can try a different headlines to capture people’s attention, try a different descriptions or add or change photographs.
Keep in mind that any changes you make to your listing will not be immediately reflected in Google’s search results. The Google indexing robot looks at this website at least once a day, sometimes two or three times a day and reports back to the main Google database about any changes it has found in this website and it’s listings. So expect any changes you make to appear in Google search results in about 24 hours.
Also remember, just because you have not sold your item yet, doesn’t mean people have not viewed your ad. Please take note of the information at the lower right for your summary listing or lower left for your full listing. You will see how many total times your ad has been viewed and how many times the listing has been viewed on the day you are looking at your stats.
Q: How frequently can I change my ad?
A: You can change your ad as often as you’d like. Change the description, upload a new image, change contact information or even change category! You will have a password and can edit your ad yourself any time, as often as you like.
Q: Can I add photographs to my listing?
A: Yes! When you Post your listing you will given an option to add up to 8 images. See How do I Create a Post a listing? above to learn how/where to upload your picture(s).
Q: What kind of listings are prohibited?
A: Please consult the Terms of Use page. â¨Category-specific guidelines posted in specific sections of the site must also be observed.
Q: What would be a convenient way to accept payment for an item I’m selling?
A:Â Paypal is a convenient payment platform because a payment into your account can be tracked. For the buyer, Paypal has a resolution center if their Paypal account is linked to their checking account or if their Paypal account is linked to their credit card they can go through their card issuer to get a refund if anything goes wrong.
